On Friday 31st of May William Timmis faced of against George Tanasa for the Featherweight amateur title.
The Terrier controlled his opponent for the majority of the fight and managed to score a take down against the Romanian wrestler. During the Third round George landed some illegal punches to the back of wills head, after seeing the doctor will continued to fight. Up on the scorecards Will kept his composure towards the end of the third round, unfortunately the fight was stopped via Tko in the third round 7Â seconds before the final bell.
Will is now training hard and preparing for his next bout on cage warriors south east academy on October the 19th.
